The Ark sits on one of the highest points in the village amongst the fynbos, in a conservation area.  It overlooks wonderful views of the Wolfhuisberg mountain and the sea. The beautiful sandy beach, which is just 3 minutes' walk away, stretches from Quoin Point all the way to Walker Bay. From July to January every year, the Southern Right Whales come to our shores to mate and calve.  Frequently, dolphins and seals can also be seen playing in the waves. Also we are about 100km from the most southernmost point in Africa, where the two oceans meet (Indian & Atlantic).

We, (who are also known as Mr and Mrs Noah) have been sailing The Ark since our arrival from Cambridgeshire, England, a number of years ago. In this time, Mr Noah has accumulated a vast knowledge of the local area, and the activities within it.  He will gladly sit and chat over a cold beer or a cup of coffee and tell you all the best places to visit, and how to get there. With us live Mango, our German Shepherd, and her best friend, Sid, the tail-less cat, who try to go everywhere together!
